Account List - Reassign Accounts (Manager Access)

A manager can reassign an account to another salesperson (or yourself) from the My List or the Master List.

When you reassign an account, you have the ability to reassign the entire account, which includes all of the Outlets. Or, just a particular Outlet or a just few of the Outlets.

To start you will want to go to the Accounts List. To view a list of your accounts, from the Menu Bar, move your mouse over the Lists menu and select Accounts.

When the entire Account is reassigned, all of the data, including the associated Deals and Contacts transfers to the other Salesperson. To reassign the whole Account:

1. Click the check each box preceding the Account(s) that you wish to transfer. You may select more than one account.

2. From the Mass Actions menu, select Reassign Accounts. The Reassign Accounts dialog box displays.

3. Determine if you want to Reassign Now (Matrix will complete the reassignment immediately upon save) or Reassign On a particular date (Matrix will reassign the account at midnight on that date)

4. From the right side of the screen; Select the Salesperson that you wish to reassign the account(s) to.

To locate someone in the list, you can use the scroll bar to look for/select the name in the list, or you can Search for the Last Name via the search field under To this Salesperson.

Optional: If you need to also reassign the Office, check the Reassign Office on these Accounts checkbox. Then, select the Office from the list on the right side of the screen.

Note: If you are only reassigning the office, you must select the Salesperson’s name from the list, even if it will be assigned to the same Salesperson.

5. Click the Save button.

Partial Reassignment (Outlet reassignment)

You can reassign part of an account without reassigning the entire account to a new salesperson. This will reassign only the Revenue to the new Salesperson. To reassign only part of the Account:

1.  Click the [+] sign preceding the Account that you wish to reassign. The sub-grid appears. Review each combination to determine which Accounts in the sub-grid you need to transfer.

2.  Check each box preceding the row(s) that you wish to transfer.You may select more than one account in the sub-grid.

3.  From the Mass Actions menu, select Reassign Accounts. The Reassign Accounts dialog box displays.

4.  From the right side of the screen, select the Salesperson that you wish to reassign the account(s) to. To locate someone in the list, you can use the scroll bar to look for/select the name in the list, or you can Search for the Last Name via the search field under To this Salesperson.

Optional:  If you need to also reassign the Office, check the Reassign Office on these Accounts checkbox. Then, select the Office from the list on the right side of the screen.

Note: If you are only reassigning the office, you must select the Salesperson’s name from the list, even if it will be assigned to the same Salesperson.

5. Click the Save button.
